The Republic of Uzbekistan now has a substantial legal and regulatory framework in the area of denationalisation, privatisation and the attraction of foreign investment. The Law "On denationalisation and privatisation" establishes the basis for the transformation of state property; the Law "On investments and investment activities" sets out the conditions for granting benefits and privileges to foreign investors, as well as for ensuring their rights.
The conditions and environment in which enterprises and other economic entities operate are gradually being transformed and new market relations are being established with the gradual implementation of structural reforms aimed at the formation of a multi-structural economy.
