As previously reported, at the business-forum held in the framework of state visit of President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev to the Republic of Singapore, between the State Assets Management Agency and international investment organization Templeton Asset Management Ltd. (Singapore) was signed a Memorandum of Cooperation.

For reference: Templeton Asset Management Ltd. is a member of international investment corporation Franklin Templeton and operates in global investment management for 75 years, serving customers in more than 155 countries and currently manages assets worth 1,410.6 billion USD.

In turn, the Memorandum is aimed at further strengthening economic and financial stability between the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Republic of Singapore, attracting foreign investors to the management of public assets, including the ongoing privatization processes in our country, the fundamental improvement of corporate governance system at enterprises with state participation according to international experience, as well as coordination of joint efforts in introducing modern methods of corporate governance.

At the event, representatives of Templeton Asset Management Ltd. stressed specifically the reforms being carried out in Uzbekistan and underlined how Uzbekistan has been opening its doors for international partners in recent years.

At the same time, the sides noted with satisfaction the official establishment of cooperation relations and agreed on implementation of respective programs on exchange of experience in the near future.
