According to the relevant privatization programs, as well as the announcement of the State Assets Management Agency to attract Leading consultant (hereinafter – Consultant) to develop a privatization strategy and roadmap for its implementation of Navoiyazot JSC, the following is reported.
During the selection process, proposals were received from 5 local and international professional consulting companies, and their financial proposals, experience in the relevant field, as well as approaches to perform the relevant tasks were considered.
Accordingly, as a result of the selection process, the international consulting company KPMG, which presented the highest level of projects in this field, the qualification of the professional team involved in the project and the most acceptable price offer, was appointed as Leading consultant to develop a privatization strategy and roadmap for its implementation of Navoiyazot JSC.
Leading consultant includes the following tasks:
- Financial and Tax Due Diligence;
- Legal Due Diligence;
- Soft Market Sounding;
- Primary Market Sounding for the Company as a whole as well as for the possible separate unbundled plant units and/or production chains and/or infrastructure and services;
- Development of a privatization strategy (to privatize state’s and JSC “Uzkimyosanoat” shares in the authorized capital of Navoiazot JSC) and a roadmap for its implementation.
- Creating prerequisites for a potential increase in the profitability of assets in order to ensure the payment of the principal amount of debt on loans, interest and taxes to the state budget.
The State Assets Management Agency together with the international company KPMG will take all necessary measures to organize the process in accordance with open, transparent and competitive sales mechanisms, as well as ensure the provision of information to the public on each stage of the process.
In addition, according to the announcement dated April 30 this year, under developing of privatization strategy of Navoiyazot JSC, the International Finance Corporation (IFC) is being attracted as a strategic consultant.
