On December 16 this year, the State Assets Management Agency hosted an extended meeting with the heads of diplomatic and consular missions of the Republic of Uzbekistan abroad to discuss the issues of systematic establishment of bilateral and multilateral cooperation. More than 50 heads of diplomatic missions took part in this meeting.

At the beginning of the event Director of the State Assets Management Agency Akmalkhon Ortikov briefed participants on privatization and corporate governance reforms carried out in our country and noted that today the privatization processes have become considerably open and transparent in comparison with the past period.

Deputy Director of the State Assets Management Agency Bekzod Usmonov made a presentation on the progress and results achieved over the past years in the field of privatization, transformation of state assets and introduction of modern corporate governance system in state enterprises, as well as prospective plans for the future. During the presentation it was noted that the processes of preparing assets for privatization are implemented with the attraction of international consulting companies from the "Big 4" through internationally recognized advanced privatization mechanisms, it was also introduced an equal, transparent and market-based procedure for allocation of land plots.

Also, Director of the SUE "Center on organization of electronic auctions" Sohibjon Murodov conducted a "master class" on the use of the electronic trading platform "E-auksion" and explained in detail, both theoretically and practically, the procedure for opening a personal account on this platform, obtaining an electronic signature online and the opportunities for participation in the auction for foreign citizens.

In turn, during the meeting it was agreed to cooperate with diplomatic and consular missions of our country abroad to facilitate the active participation of foreign investors and representatives of the business community in the privatization process in our country, as well as to organize communication programs, including public "Roadshow" presentations, working meetings and trainings in order to inform the international community.

At the end of the meeting, the participants received answers to all their questions related to privatization, corporate governance reform and electronic online trading "E-auksion".
