In accordance with the Presidential Decree from March 24, 2023 № PD-102 "On additional measures to reduce state participation in the economy", it is approved to offer for public auction state shares in 1001 enterprises and 1046 properties, as well as the list of 40 enterprises which shares are realized through "People's IPO" on the principle of "one share - one lot".
In order to accelerate the awareness and promotion of the content of this decree in the regions, on August 16 this year, the State Assets Management Agency held its regular "Roadshow" presentation of state assets to be privatized in the Republic of Karakalpakstan, in particular state shares in enterprises, state facilities and land plots.
The event was attended by over 200 representatives of local khokimiyats, large enterprises of the region as well as entrepreneurs and investors.
The event was chaired by Deputy Director of the State Assets Management Agency Bekzod Usmonov, Head of territorial department of the State Assets Management Agency in the Republic of Karakalpakstan Maksud Radjabov and a Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers of the Republic Karakalpakstan Khokimiyat Rasul Zarikeev.
The "Roadshow" participants were informed about the work carried out in the Republic of Karakalpakstan in 2022. Particularly, the territorial department of the State Assets Management Agency offered 126 state assets for public auction and 31 assets were sold for 10,1 billion soums with condition of payment in installments. Moreover, during 2022, 3099 land plots with total area of 251,5 hectares were e-auctioned for entrepreneurs and individuals and 1 311 land plots with total area of 121,9 hectares were sold for 22,9 billion soums.
At the same time, in accordance with Presidential Decree №PD-102 from March 24, 2023, at the event were presented 114 state assets and assets of enterprises with state participation, as well as 49 real estate objects, which are oferred for public auction in the Republic of Karakalpakstan.
In addition, the participants of the event were given explanations on the procedure for privatization of non-agricultural land plots previously owned by them on the right of permanent use or lifetime ownership.
In turn, representatives of the State Assets Management Agency conducted a "master class" on the use of the electronic trading platform "E-auksion" and explained in detail, both theoretically and practically, the procedures for opening a personal account on the platform, obtaining an electronic signature online and participation in the auction.
During the "Roadshow" which was held at a high level and lively with questions and answers, the deputy director of the State Assets Management Agency Bekzod Usmonov and other responsible executives of the region answered a number of questions from the participants and the mass media.
At the same time, in the second half of the day, a Press Tour was organized for the media representatives to visit the state assets in the Republic of Karakalpakstan and provided information on the projects being implemented.
This event will continue in all districts and cities of the Republic of Karakalpakstan.
As of today, similar events have been held in Fergana, Andijan, Namangan, Navai, Kashkadarya, Bukhara, Khorezm, Surkhandarya, Jizzakh, Siradryo, Samarkand regions and will also be held in the coming days in all other regions of the republic.
