On 3 May this year, there was held an international scientific-practical conference ‘Development of market and property relations in the conditions of socio-economic transformation of society’, dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the establishment of the Centre for Research under the State Assets Management Agency.
The event was attended by representatives of UzSAMA, Centre for research on privatisation problems and state assets management, National association of investment institutions, Association of appraisal organisations, Association of real estate organisations, authoritative economists of Uzbekistan, scientists and specialists of higher educational and research institutions, enterprises of Uzbekistan, Russia and India. The First Head of the Research Centre, Doctor of Economic Sciences, Prof. Lutfullaev M.L. was invited to the conference, who noted that despite the small number of researchers the Centre managed to achieve high scientific results.
Thus, over the last 20 years, its scientific staff has prepared and published more than 900 scientific works, including 24 monographs, 22 textbooks and manuals, more than 700 scientific articles and theses in well-known national and foreign editions. In the Intellectual Property Agency of the Republic of Uzbekistan the Centre has registered more than 45 copyright certificates for scientific, methodological and practical developments for the last 7 years only. Since 2003, the Centre has successfully implemented 29 fundamental, applied and innovative projects financed by grants for the implementation of state scientific and technical programmes. Since 2000, on the basis of the results of scientific research, the Centre has prepared and submitted more than 700 documents, including analytical and report notes, concepts, draft legislation, methodological recommendations, reference and information-analytical materials to the higher organisation and other ministries and departments. The Centre is the primary drafter of eight laws in force in Uzbekistan.
Scientific reports on the subject of the conference were made by representatives of science from foreign countries, Professor of the Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation Dr. Bella Bataeva, General Director of Maco Polo Ventures Sachdev Ramakrishna (India) and others.
Based on the results of the scientific and practical conference, the tasks and appropriate measures to eliminate the problems encountered in the securities market, corporate governance in enterprises with state participation, their investment attractiveness, in real estate and appraisal activities, as well as the development of these areas were identified.
