On 17 August this year in the building of the State Assets Management Agency a seminar on "Negative Consequences of Corruption and Conflict of Interest" was organised for managers and employees of the central office, structural subdivisions, territorial departments and departmental structures.

This seminar was led by the deputy director of UzSAMA Muhammadnosir Kadyrov. At the same time, Sherzod Saparov, division deputy head of the Anti-Corruption Agency, took part in the event with a report. The report presented a detailed understanding of the negative consequences of corruption and conflict of interest, as well as prevention and suppression of corruption offences in positions with high corruption risk.

Also, Sh. Saparov consistently listed the causes of corruption. In addition, ways to eliminate the causes that contribute to corruption were discussed. In particular, openness and accountability, elimination of bureaucratic obstacles, prevention of conflict of interest, effective internal control system, effective social protection, digitalisation of public services, introduction of anti-corruption expertise.

The employees of UzSAMA took an active part in the discussion, received all the information they were interested in and were once again informed about the need to inform in the prescribed manner in case of a conflict of interest in the course of their professional activities.
