KPMG conducted a seminar on "The Basics of Business Appraisal" at the State Assets Management Agency

On November 28-29 this year State Assets Management Agency in cooperation with the international consulting company KPMG organized for the employees of the Agency seminars on the topic "Foundations of Business Appraisal" with the participation of Deputy Director and Manager of Investment and Capital Markets Department of KPMG Mr. Irsen Pak and Mr. Alisher Babayev.

For reference: KPMG is an international network of companies providing audit, tax and consulting services. KPMG has representative offices in 147 countries of the world. The international headquarters is located in Amstelveen (Netherlands). KPMG employs more than 219,000 people.

In their speeches Irsen Pak and Alisher Babaev pointed out major aspects of systematic approach in business appraisal such as: appraisal standards, types of values and step-by-step process of business appraisal, component analysis of cash flows using discounted cash flow method, analysis of discount rate, coordination of appraisal results, comparative and cost-based appraisal methods.

At the same time during the seminars the interactive dialogue was held with the employees of the Agency in order to exchange the international experience in the business appraisal.

At the end of the events, the participants noted the effectiveness of the seminar for further implementation of international experience in the Agency's performance regarding the implementation of generally accepted methods of business appraisal.
