On February 2 this year, the international consulting company PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) organized a seminar for the employees of the State Assets Management Agency on "Financing Investment Projects", with the participation of Sergey Luzan, PwC Director in Uzbekistan, and Ermek Zhakeev, PwC Director for Advisory Services in Uzbekistan. The event was opened by the State Assets Management Agency Deputy Director Bekzod Usmonov.

This seminar was organized within the framework of professional development programs for the employees of the State Assets Management Agency, which are conducted by international audit and consulting companies of the "Big 4". Earlier similar seminars were held by international consulting companies "KPMG" and "Deloitte".

During the event was focused on practical issues of investment projects financing, as well as the best practices of improving the investment attractiveness of enterprises, the possibility of effective implementation of these tools in the activities of the Agency.

Considering that the companies of Uzbekistan are in process of implementing and increasing the efficiency of state assets, the part of the seminar was held in the form of interactive dialogue with the Agency's employees for exchange of international experience on this issue.

During the seminar, PwC experts discussed in detail the methods of analysis of investment projects, as well as procedures of increasing the investment attractiveness for investors, creditors and state organizations.

Participants noted the efficiency of the seminar for further work on improvement of legislative and normative legal acts in the fields of investment, privatization and public-private partnership in Uzbekistan.
