On January 16 this year, at the Uzbek-Singapore Business Forum, organized in the framework of the state visit of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan to Singapore, the State Assets Management Agency held a presentation on "Privatization and corporate governance reforms in Uzbekistan".

The head of the Coordination Department Shokhrukh Okhunov presented and provided detailed information about the results of the privatization processes in Uzbekistan, future prospective plans, including state assets offered for sale, as well as the procedures for participation in the tender process to over 200 representatives of the business community of Singapore. Also, the participants were provided with investment teasers of large state assets to be privatized.

At the same time, during the event the Director of State Assets Management Agency Akmalkhon Ortikov conducted direct G2B meetings with more than 50 representatives of Singapore business community. During the meeting, representatives of business communities were introduced to the opportunities created for foreign investors in our country and they were invited to actively participate in privatization processes in Uzbekistan. In this case, based on the example of successful participation in the privatization processes carried out in our country, Akmalkhon Ortikov highlighted the Singapore company "Indorama Corporation Ltd". Also, detailed answers were given to a number of questions raised by participants of the event and representatives of mass media.
